Quantum computing is poised to become the next major business disruption technology. Gartner predicts that by 2023, 20% of organizations will be budgeting for quantum computing projects, compared to less than 1% today.

QC Ware is seeking to add an experienced sales representative to our business development team. The new hire will be based in Palo Alto, CA. Ideally, the new hire will start shortly before January 1, 2020.

About You: 

You are an accomplished salesperson with 5 or more years of experience in complex enterprise sales for software licensing and custom professional services engagements. You have the ability to prospect consistently on the phone, through email, in person and at trade shows.

You have experience selling high tech software that is used by highly skilled technical professionals and researchers with advanced degrees in mathematics, engineering, computer science, or physics. Examples might include but are not limited to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Big Data, Analytics, and Optimization solutions.

Experience with large enterprise customers in Finance, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Energy, Materials, or Pharmaceuticals is preferred but not required as long as you have worked through complex approval, budgeting, procurement and legal processes in large mutli-national corporations.

You have a history of closing multiple deals (5 or more) of $300K to $1M or more in enterprise software licensing and professional services, combined, in a single year. You also have a history of building long term relationships with customers and doing repeat business.

You have excellent oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to learn complex ideas and reproduce them in layman’s terms. You can stay on top of quickly evolving competitive landscape, learn and adjust. You feel comfortable selling over the phone or in-person, and presenting in front of small and large audiences. You do not need a large sales operations or support organization to deliver results and can work well with subject matter and technical experts on prospects as needed.

You are familiar with documenting your sales actions in the company’s CRM solution and you appreciate and expect coaching and training.

You will be expected to surpass your on-target earnings and have done so consistently in your previous positions.
